Ruining a good thing.

Good things about today:

• New bike day! I rode my fancy expensive fancy new fancy bike for the first time and it didn't fall apart.

Bad things about today:

• Said bike ride was to work.
• Copious perioding.
• I got bitten by a dog after I stuffed my fingers in its mouth and then poked its hurty spot. In my defense, I was trying to give it pain medication. In the dog's defense, I was being a complete idiot and kind of a jerk about it.
• Said dog bite made me cry, and I hate crying at work because it ruins my tough girl image.

I spent a really embarrassing quantity of time in the bathroom sobbing and cursing my job. I think I've got it mostly out of my system, but ugh. At least this is my last week of full time. I start school on Monday (!) and will be down to working two nights a week instead of four. I suspect that will probably still be two shifts too many, but at this point it's baby steps to freedom.
