Summer got lost on its way somewhere else and ended up here in Portland. Which is awesome.
Yesterday we went to the river with some friends and drank beer and basked in the sun. We also got the opportunity to watch a wild sea lion snack on river salmon, which caused me to have some qualms about my personal safety.
Were I a more accomplished photographer, I'd have attempted some shots of my own. Instead, I found this random internet image of what it would probably look like to be devoured by a sea lion on the Clackamas River:
It was lovely, and confirmation that Oregon is indeed a magical fairy land of sea monsters and other mythical beasts.

Also, unrelated to being eaten by marine mammals, I decided I am no longer 25, struggling with coming out, and trapped in a doomed marriage. As such, it's not really so vital that my journal be friends-locked anymore.
