From the other side.
1 July 2015 09:26 pm I have worked a total of 16 hours at my new job. In that time, I have not had to juggle six simultaneous phone calls, nobody has presented me with a critically ill animal, I have not had to try to figure out how to make the impossible happen (ie. orchestrating a refill for a controlled medication at midnight on the Saturday of a holiday weekend), and I have not had to break the news to anyone that their pet needs a multi-thousand dollar surgery in order to continue living.
In fact, I have sat at my own private desk with my own little desk succulent and worked on my own tasks at my own pace. I am able to focus on one thing at a time, and nobody interrupts me.
This is delightful. This is absolutely worth waking up at 6 am for.
