grrltastic: (summer)
[personal profile] grrltastic
Originally this week was dedicated to riding a mini-tour of the Oregon outback. We cancelled those plans because, seriously, who has time to spend an entire week on a bike/in a tent? (Not me, that's who.) So instead it's been a lot of mini-adventures and also getting stuff done. I hope to put together a picture post early next week to sum up this vacation experience.

Anyway. Since class ended last week I:
  • Finished three separate bike-cargo sewing projects.
  • Rode a 44 mile loop out to the Portland Women's Forum and Crown Point Vista House with a group of about a dozen strangers.
  • Put the finishing touches on my fancy-ass bicycle, and then put my fancy ass on said bicycle.
  • Got word that I just completed my 4th consecutive 4.0 term of school.
  • Rode a 43 mile loop to Oxbow Regional Park for a night of camping with Trish and another dozen strangers. There was a flying squirrel.
  • Celebrated Trish's 39th birthday with much success.
  • Finalized the acceptance letter for the $1250 scholarship I won(!)
  • FINALLY finished sewing the couch pillows I started in March.
Tonight I have plans to meet up with some friends (!) for a Pedalpalooza ride, and hopefully meet some more interesting strangers. Then tomorrow we're going out to Diamond Lake for two nights of camping, with the intent of going out to Crater Lake on Saturday for a day of hiking/maybe biking because the eastern rim of the lake will be serendipitously closed to auto traffic for the weekend. We come home on Sunday, and then summer term starts up on Monday.

Yeeaaaahhhhh booooooiiiiiiiii.
